The food was okay, on the pricier side. Was our experience worth it? I'm not entirely sure. So we called in made a reservation ahead of time but 30 mins before we knew we would be late due to some bad traffic accident on the highway and the Gardiner was closed that weekend. The guy on the phone told me oh its okay I'll make a note under your reservation and moving it back 15mins won't be a problem. So I thought,.. Cool! Sounds good! See you then!......... But what happened when we arrived was a whole different story. Apparently no note was made.. And they gave our table to someone else... Good thing after some heated discussion they gave us another table that just opened up. But that whole big stink left a sour taste in my mouth already... Moving on..

After we were seated, we were given menus. While we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, we saw were these nasty looks from some of the waitresses all throughout the wait and the dinner. Okay...? Rude much? Thumbs down?! Although to be fair there was this one nice guy waiter who when our whole party arrived, patiently explained how it works at the restaurant and what some of the more obscure dishes were. So thumbs up for that one server. You made our experience just slightly that much better.

When the food came, we noticed a lot of the things we have ordered did not arrive yet some dishes came twice, without us ordering more! The food quality was okay... The seafood was pretty delicious though. And the buns with sweetened condensed milk were tasty! The ice cream cone at the end was a nice touch.

Will I ever order the chili ten year soup base again?..... And it being not the spiciest on the menu I thought I would be okay since I consume that Korean chicken mania ramen noodles pretty frequently with no difficulty.... Lol never again! I almost died.... Made it a pretty funny dinner conversation though!

Anyways we may come back if we were really craving hot pot. The overall experience was just okay and not totally worth the price, at least not in my opinion. Oh yeah and that automatically added hidden tip to the bill, that's just annoying especially since service was terrible (minus that one server). And when we pointed out to other members of our party that tip is already included in the bill, that nasty cuteye we got from the waitress.... Laughable!

It's different from the one in Chinatown. The spicy pot is really expensive 15 bucks not included in the all you can eat price. And they don't provide spicy sauce so you have to order the spicy soup.

We went to Morals Village for hot pot with some friends.   There were 5 of us and we got two large pots to share.  We got a large table for 6 so there was a lot of space for everyone.

A few things to note about Morals:

    1. This is probably standard practice at hot pot restaurants.  They will charge you one price for all you can eat hot pot, then charge an additional price for the soup base.  Remember to factor in the soup base price into your budget!

    2. Morals has a very nice sides and sauce area.  There were tons of choices from sesame to hot sauce to sha-cha.  You can even crack a small raw egg and mix it into your hot pot sauce!

    3. Drinks are not included in the ayce hot pot price.

Noted points aside, the hot pot food at Morals village was excellent and I thought the quality on most food items were great.  We ordered a bunch of meat (pork, beef), lots of seafood (shrimps, scallop, etc) and a big variety of veggies (napa, winter melon, tofu, mushrooms...) and everything was service neatly in nice dishes and nothing was missed.  Generally speaking, the food we ordered came promptly.

To top things off,  the dinner menu has ice cream desserts for everyone after we were all too full to eat anymore.

The verdict.  Morals village is great place for hot pot.  A little bit pricy but you get high quality food and solid service for a enjoyable hot pot experience.

1 Star for Service 2 star overall experience. Walked in on a Sunday night around 8pm expecting the place to still have food. Ran out of Tom yum soup base, water crest, and some other items we kept ordering but did not show up. So annoyed already even before eating.

When asked for a bowl and spoons it took about 4 server tries and finally we just all kept looking at them to remind them. Fish brains over here workers were super slow I have to agree not attentive at all! Kept looking down and the damn place wasn't even busy. Didn't have kiwi juice either... lord why are you even open!?

12% tip automatically added would make me assume that's why this don't care bout their service. I would suggest they take that off it they want real tip them work for it. Will not be returning should of just went to little lamb instead

I always go to the location at Chinatown but since i was in sauga, decided to hit up this location. My first assumption was that this location cant be better than Chinatown location. I was wrong, most foods was fresher with the exception of the mussels and marinated beef. It was not jammed packed like Chinatown location and you can expect to be seated promptly on a weekday night. The pots and food arrived in good order in timely fashion.

The sliced meats were especially good. The sauces were well stocked. The place was clean, staff was courteous and constantly filling up soup, water or whatever. I really enjoyed this hotpot and I definitely recommend it.
